A fine Scottish Dirk, in 375 layer Damascus with hand carved basket weave handle of Blackwood. All of the fittings are nickel silver. This was a donation to the ABS, as their 30th anniversary masters auction knife.

About Us

     Iron Intentions Forge is working towards 30 years of business!! Started in 1980, we have always thought from the potential customers point of view, and believe everyone is pleased with their final product. From something as sublime as a forged nail to the complexity of a coal fire welded Damascus high art collectors knife, we strive towards perfection.

     To show the quality of our workmanship and to validate the knowledge gained through classes and experience a mastersmith stamp from the ABS was awarded to me, Gary D. Anderson, in 1991. Since then we have grown, and now Kath is working in the forge full time and we have several other apprentices working part time under us. 

      One aspect of the art of blacksmithing that I believe everyone who works at Iron Intentions Forge enjoys the most is the demonstrations. We work with true antique tools and forge in the open just the way it was done for many hundreds of years, often time in authentic period dress.
